9th     The Buzz About Bees Flower Show

The time has come to put our knowledge of plant designs on display!  CDC’s creative and beautiful Flower Show happens this month at the charming Cedar Run Brewery.  Our esteemed judges will decide the winners, but really, aren’t we all winners for entering?

While our displays are being judged, Jim Gehlsen, an accomplished beekeeper, will explain his fascinating journey with these winged pollinators.  If time allows, we will create our own recycled Bee Hotel to place in our backyards to help boost endangered native bee populations.  If we run out of time, you will be able to take a bee hotel kit home with you.  Don’t worry, the kits will be accompanied with easy-to-follow instructions.

What’s a honeybee’s favorite flower?  A bee-gonia!
